<>色深这个名词还是很容易混淆，在亚洲水鸟图鉴上的描述为underwing slate-grey(翼下覆羽为石板灰色)的描写更为恰当。</P>
<>灰尾鹬的上体为很纯的石板灰色，几乎看不出有其他颜色的斑点和斑块，这与林鹬具有的明显的黑色和白色斑点很不一样。</P>
