A total of 2 Sanderlings Calidris alba were sighted by Lin Chen at: Shanyutan tidal flat, estuary of Minjiang River, Changle City, c. 1 hour from Fuzhou City, People's Republic of China 26deg 3min 0sec N, 119deg 40min 0sec E on 9/09/2006 with flag(s) as follows:<br/><br/><br/><br/> LEFT leg: metal band on tibia (upper leg) above nothing on tarsus<br/><br/> RIGHT leg: orange flag on tibia (upper leg) above yellow flag on tarsus<br/><br/>These birds were flagged in the south east of South Australia, approximate co-ordinates 38deg 0min S, 140deg 0min E, which uses the flag combination Orange/Yellow, sometime since April 1999. <br/><br/>The resighting was a distance of approximately 7432 km, with a bearing of 340 degrees, from the marking location.<br/><br/>See also photos. May have been three individuals but not confirmed.<br/><br/><br/>2.
